Little Ones

Be they sleeping sweetly,
Upon their little bough.
Little ones all curled,
Peaceful are they now.

Their eyes closed tight,
Away from dusks glow.
In not long night,
Arises, moon in tow.

Body wrapped up warm,
So safe and sweet.
The cold, far away,
Weak against a beat.

Mind still alert,
Dreaming their dreams.
Nothing too far,
Regardless what it seems.
